All About the Benjamins

Jorg Meyer recently had the pleasure of photographing Benjamin Todd Jealous for Columbia Magazine.  Benjamin is the youngest ever national leader of the NAACP.  Jorg was with him in Washington and had this to say: He was a wonderful person to work with - so professional. First on location, and than in a prepared studio environment at the offices of the NAACP. The most important aspect of shoots like this is that you have to be completely prepared as there is only a short amount of time to photograph your subjects.  And when I say photograph - it is more about making a personal connection with them.  People don't respond to the camera - they respond to the photographer.  It's always a challenge engage someone that in the limited time available.
